Hi, How Do I Stop Hyperventilating Over Avengers: Endgame?

We all know I don't like my blog but I can't deny I'm so excited to write about this one.
Seen it last night, if I think about certain parts for longer than 20 seconds I start crying again so I guess you could say it's made an impact.

There's so much I want to say, unusual from me I know. So I'm just gonna list things and it will be a massive ramble but I have so many thoughts and things to say and words to type and holy fuck.

SPOILER ALERT, LEGIT SO SO SO MANY

I'll start with the marketing of the movie, it was GENIUS, gave hardly any of the plot away, showed nothing from the final battle which made room for SO many surprises. Marvel clearly realised everyone was gonna see it no matter what they showed in the trailers, so thank the lord they kept everything mostly a secret.

Also amazing how within the first 20 minutes they completely subverted expectations, surely I can't be the only one who assumed they'd time travel with the stones, but NO they're GONE! Thor decapitating Thanos also, amazing.

I'd also like to say this film totally changed my mind on a few characters, I found both Captain Marvel and Nebula a bit meh, but after this film I'm so invested. As a major Doctor Who fan, I always wanted Karen Gillan (Nebula) to have more to do, and this time she had loads, and crushed it. Also was convinced she would die, and I'm happy she didn't and hope she stays on for Guardians of the Galaxy 3. All Captain Marvel needed with a haircut and a headbut from Thanos to be cool, who knew.

Sticking with the theme of female heroes, I had some issues (that i'll get to later) with Black Widow's death, but at the same time oh my god it made me sob so so so much. Both her and Hawkeye trying to kill themselves to save the other was so devastating. As predictable as it was that one of them would die, I like to switch my brain off during these films, so I totally forgot the soul stone required a sacrifice, so it was a genuine shock, for me anyway.

Furthermore, the female heroes having their own little moment to help Captain Marvel during the final battle made me excited for a potential A-Force movie? Doubt it, but would be cool, especially if they introduced She-Hulk. Just sad looking at all the female heroes without the original one standing along side them, RIP.

The entire Time Heist was done so well also, so cool seeing the past movies, shocked they got Natalie Portman back because she's quite vocal about her hatred for the Thor movies. All of the other cameos also were a highlight (Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Robert Redford and mooooooore)

Onto He-Hulk, the Hulk was amazing in this movie, don't really need to say anymore. Also loved Fat Thor because it's nice to see someone as chubby as me being a superhero.

Paul Rudd is so so funny

The final battle, INCREDIBLE, when Falcon comes on Captain America's earpiece and said 'on your left' OH MA GAWD goosebumps thinking about it. So exciting seeing all the heroes back from being dusted- highlights included Black Panther and Scarlet Witch, just a shame her Russian accent died with the snap and probably isn't coming back.

CAPTAIN AMERICA LIFTING THE HAMMER!!!!!
(also him making fun of 2012 Cap for saying 'I could do this all day')

Thanos also, after Infinity War, still my favourite character in the film, was sad he was barely in it but he came back at the end to steal the show. Inevitable really, oh snap.

Finally, Iron Man's death was probably the most upsetting thing I may have ever made my eyeballs look at,, even though it was highly predicted, was still an amazing moment. Also Captain America staying in the past to finally get his dance with Peggy. He 100% should've given the shield to Bucky but whatever I suppose.

Thor being in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is also something to be very excited about.

Criticisms however, Black Widow's death is glossed over so quickly, Iron Man gets an entire funeral, and all she gets is the Hulk angrily throwing a bench??? Hopefully they give her a good farewell in her own movie when it comes out next year, but at the same time I hope she isn't resurrected (make it a prequel boiz).

I also feel they glossed over the time travel rules too fast, I suppose there's no need to, just switch your brain off, but I've read it's created many plot holes. Personally I wont be reading to find out what these plot holes are, because I don't want to hate anything about this movie.

Also can't remember, but I'm worried about Valkyrie's flying horse I hope it's okay.

I've probably missed some stuff out, and it's probably not as good as I think  it  is, but it's currently voted the 5th best movie in the world on IMDb (on 26/04/19 anyway) so I'm not the only one aboard the Avengers hype train
